The first impression almost seems as if we were looking at a girl. However, the frock and the hairstyle were typical for boys of the Biedermeier period.

This little fellow was kind enough to forget his ball for a while in order to be portrayed. He is definitely one of the real Berlin boys - one can see that his eyes are very awake and interested, and he is also quite uninhibited in a natural self-secure way ...
